Killing em off was dumb. Though to be frank I'd have not made them ancients at all. Or while people can mock the idea of 'something more ancient than the ancients' I don't think it's a bad idea - it's the equivalent of having a buncha medieval fucks hear about the ancient bible or greece and rome and then discovering a world so ancient it was old when Greece and Rome didn't even exist.
