I think both left and right arguments are retarded.
Women should not have guns for the simple reason - that women have an overinflated sense of self-preservation, and they constantly feel like they're stalked or "aggressed" against. Handing a weapon to a gender that literally acts like a schizophrenic 24/7 is never a good idea.
And this is actually one of the things cops told us during gun courses in my country: women disproportionately too often reach for their guns, just because some dude was walking in the same direction as they did. Now imagine the shit such behaviour can cause in an actual dangerous situation like a robbery or assault in a public/group setting.
