Absolutely. VH1 and 1984 almost out sold the entire sammy era by themselves. Part of the confusion is that sammy era DID have several "#1 albums"- as Sammy will be the first to tell you...but all that means is they sold more than the next guy that first week or 2. 1984 outsold 5150 by far in the first month of their respective releases but 1984 was up against Thriller- the best selling album of all time lol- and thus only came in #2
