But the main reason shartfield is so fucking bad is that it is BORING. The setting (what little there is) is boring, the characters are boring, the planets are boring, the gameplay is boring and the dialogue is boring. This is actually a worse sin than it being egregiously bad because at least then it's entertaining in a different way, like Oblivion. Any TES or Fallout game at least has the benefit of relying on the existing setting. Try to imagine Fallout 4 without all of Fallout's existing lore to remind you "this series used to be good".
Even if TESVI is overall not a very good game it will still be set in a universe which - at one point - had decent writing. All they have to do is avoid bringing up ESO fanfiction too often and avoid having too many women on the writing team. I'd also prefer if they gave Emil an injection of sodium thiopental but we can't have everything.

Pokemon has been getting continuously worse for 12 fucking years dude. And yet the sales keep going up. It's safe to say that Gen 10 could just be rabbit shit in a box and it'll still sell at least 10 million copies.

I used to love Pokemon, but when I realized that everything was getting worse and no one was punishing Game Freak for it I had to drop the series. The shitty fucking consoomers who prop up this corpulent mess of a franchise are responsible for the dire state of the series as much as Game Freak is. If they could just stop buying 2 of every Pokemon game, no matter how bad it is, maybe Game Freak would get the message.

Not really, but it's a complex story
It was night, usually 3 people staff the air control, but the swiss civil aviation cut down costs to only 2 people. One of them went to sleep for a couple of hours, so 1 guy was doing the work of 3 people.
That night there was also maintanance going on, so most of the instruments in the tower control were turned off.
Two planes were on collision course. There is an automated system on planes that makes sure they don't collide, tells one to go up and the other to go down. The Cargo plane received the notification to go up, the Russian to go down. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Now, the russians phoned in to tower control just to make sure, and the air control guy, while on the phone with another emergency, told the russians to go up.
This is the funny bit: In NATO civil aviation, automated instruments have priority. So the Russian pilot should've went down, but in former soviet countries the doctrine is that air control has always the last word.
The air control guy was cleared of guilty, but that doesn't bring comfort to a grieving father, and he couldn't take it on Bashkirian Airlines for not training their pilots, so...
