It's perfectly fine to only go for Hopeful Stakes at the start of Medium/Long careers because G1s have the best skill point tradeoff for missing a training day, the exceptions being if you need more fans before Hopeful. It's not like Oguri doesn't have a great unique that consistently wins it or anything.
His debuff Air Groove guide was complete trash misinfo for this CM btw, and this is 100% a bad faith deflection video.
