this is a fair critique, but i think it ties into the subtext that the FREEDOM offered by the weird route is all cope. ramb tells you "tenna's version is just a straight line from A to B" but tenna's game is actually fairly nonlinear and there's multiple ways to solve each puzzle. meanwhile, the True Game is entirely linear, your only choice is to kill everything you see until you can progress. similarly, the normal route allows you to choose whatever you want whereas the weird route forces you to pick very specific options to keep it going
