Honestly I think Undertale is amazing, but it's humor is aging I think. I actually think that Deltarune has taken so long to come out that even the first two chapters are starting to show their age. Especially the first. I do still think they're great, just something I've noticed

Here I looked at the rest of the Jackenstein houses after the crazy "neo chess theory" map with the chapter routes on it.

The most interesting one is the house with a huge snake covering all the hallways (wonder if this is connected to Susie's house which has some snake-like stuff behind the FRIEND Cutscene). And a few with pipes (ICE-E?)

My Mancountry theory:

it's The Old deltarune from 2012 when Toby wanted to make the game with all Humans. The Eggman is Past Gaster, who's been forgotten and forgot who he was. This is why Kris turns into the "light world sprite" , because it's actually Toby's original sprite for his first concept of the game, and why everything is all retro-looking. It's possible given the Chapter 4 egg room implications, that Kris may have been taken from the "mancountry" universe i.e. from an alternate game where everyone is human and placed into the Deltarune we know.

After thinking on the Secret Boss Carnival Theory yesterday, I am 100% convinced the Chapter 3 secret boss is a Muffet expy
In Chapter 2, a Werewire npc in the city talks about forms of transport in Cyber World that are directly taken from carnival games, I believe these are all tied to the secret bosses
The Coaster, The only form of public transportation in the city, which is used in Spamton's normal boss fight
A public merry-go-round was petitioned for, but (presumably Spamton) kept it from happening because of his fear of clowns. This is in obvious reference to Jevil and his carousel of death
And last but not least the Teacup rides, which are actually privately owned
I believe that the Chapter 3 secret boss is the ruthless business woman who owns the Teacup rides, in reference to a certain tea-drinking spider
Some supplementary observations:

It isn't specifically "completionism bad", it's more "you aren't going to get enjoyment from something you don't genuinely engage with, no matter how much of it you consume". Flowey wasn't an eager completionist with love for the world who wanted to see more of it, he was someone who didn't actually enjoy what he was doing (mechanically interacting with variables) but still did it because he was chasing the high of feeling. It's more relevant on the Genocide route, as that's where the idea is introduced, because you're doing the same thing as Flowey and treating characters as a means to an end. He was once in your position, it isn't meant to be a "don't you see how evil you are?" message but a "don't you see how this is a fucked up way to engage with things". At most, it's telling you not to robotically blast through games you don't really enjoy in hopes of finding the one thing that'll suddenly turn your mind around on it, because you aren't going to find that thing and it won't be meaningful. "Preachy" is such a fucking overused criticism in regards to these games and it rarely applies
