This reminds me of a Russian boomer (literal boomer, he is like almost 70) film critic I know who made I think two movies right now, and is complaining he can't get into any film festival,and he did try even the literal who ones, although it is kinda obvious that the fact that he is Russian affects his inability to get into any abroad festival, although even with Russian ones he has problems (but they have notoriously been getting more and more corrupt lately, plus increasing censorship). I actually watched his first film which he released openly on YouTube and it was ass. But at least he is trying and making something.
