A quick series of reviews focusing on the new character of Lex Imperialis from anons here for those debating getting it or starting a new run for it:

This DLC is 100% not worth doing a full replay of the game for, it's nowhere near the quality and content of Void Shadows, which was honestly the high point of RT as a whole up to now. I definitely think it's better to wait for the future DLCs for a replay of the game, maybe they'll match up to Void Shadows level. Though Lex being this average makes me wonder if Void Shadows was just a lucky shot from Owlcat and the rest of the DLC will be more on the level of Lex rather than VS.

Yes you'll be fine. The Pathfinder games Owlcat made had a tendency to screw you over and included multiple beginner traps but Rogue Trader is based on an entirely different system and much easier than their previous games.

I've been playing on Daring, no experience with the TTRPG or previous Owlcat games, no idea what I'm doing with builds. I've found the game to be exceedingly easy outside of two spikes (act 1 boss, Kiava Gamma boss), and even there I didn't die.

I would strongly recommend starting on at least Hard. That said, the voidship combat is harder than the ground combat so maybe leave that on a lower difficulty.

I've been using officers to beef up executioner pyromancer Heinrix often letting him nuke the entire map with his heroic action.

And I completely trivilized the game with Act 4 accessory that disables momentum cost for heroic abilities on my Master Tactician Officer and the accessory that always lets the equipper goes first (even ahead of grand strategist). The master tactictan have the ability to basically fill up momentum bar by just using various abilities, thus I can use Finest Hour Heroic action on Heinrix and still allows him to immediately use his own heroic action immediately. This basically turbo buffs Heinrix before any enemy could act (can also piggy back off of Cassia's buffs through Bring it down) and lets him wipe out the whole map while still technically being on the first party member's turn.

idira for raven, skulls for cassia, eagle for pascal. i have grandmaster blacklisted, and the eagle is more fun for pascal than bounty hunter extra turns shenanigans. btw there is one skill, strategic adaptation, if you kill an enemy with an attack the ap is refunded, and you can attack again. so good action economy too, especially on the eagle

if you have idira and cassia on the team also going overseet, look into shotfun + shield dual wielding. the first shield attack is free, and that overrides the extra ap cost from dual wielding. with the buffs and peak condition, you can do very high damage with the shield as a arch militant.

from soldier you can grab the usual strong stuff like swift slaughter and damage boosts after striking multiple enemies that synergize well with aoes. If you are going shield and shotty then avoid the cover bonus stuff since you'll like be out in the open
If you go AM the free grenade origin talent can be pretty cool if you also go for the AM talent that makes grenades count for versatility. MT has a similar talent and may work a bit better since you'd have a harder time stacking versatility with 2 shotguns

The Eldar are xenos and leave when they get bored
Ulfar returns to his Chapter

Yeah you can be allied to them in the epilogue and even boss some of them around but as far as people that actually help you run the dynasty in the end it's Abelard/his kids if he retires, Idira depending on her ending, Jae, and Kibellah.

This is the only quest I've seen this when really it should be very common for me to have enforcers with me

I haven't played since launch where the optimal thing (outside of having your RT be psyker) was officer RT with Pasq/Argenta/Fish/Filler. I know there were minor nerfs here and there to some of the stronger stuff and that the 1st DLC introduced Bladedancer with kibbles as a ST god and some broken as shit Pyro/Executioner RT solo thing. Beyond that has the "meta" shifted in any meaningful way? With the second DLC out I'm ready to play again but would be completely fine with just doing an officer run repeat with Kibbles swapped for one of the filler and call it a day.
