Can we get an "F" to these lines from the original Xseed translation now that Sky FC remake demo is out?

Now that the remake demo is out and we get our firsthand on the localization, it seems like they are taking this "faithfulness" duty very seriously. The translations are very close to the Japanese script, and every iconic line from the original Xseed localization was removed. Already in the opening cutscene we lost "Why is my present a BOY?!". So I'm 99% sure we won't see these lines in the full game or in the potential SC remake.

I used to work in translation and we use shit like this all the time to just expedite the translation process and the fine tune it. It's not that we don't speak the language, it's just that it's easier to get a machine to do the bulk of the translation. The difficult part of translating is getting things like idioms right, or culturally bound stuff that's implicit, or translating puns. Giving a translation the rough grammatical skeleton it needs and directly translating nouns is just busywork that a machine clearly can and does do

Usually there's an Editor that does QA that either works in house or works at a firm. You can google specialized QA companies, there are some like Testronic. This. With some things you can accurately predict what the next couple lines will be. The same generic dialogue over and over again. The most memorable occurrence of this for me was Astlibra, where it felt like the dev just took the top 1000 most common lines in anime/manga and added them as is. It felt like I was reading the most generic work in existence.

If a translator wants to rewrite the work and actually improves on it, I don't mind. I only care about the end product. The original intent is irrelevant if it's trash. Unfortunately in many cases the rewrites just turn it into another type of garbage.

Translations for other languages are often based on the english. So some of the english's bad points will have slipped through. Which you can see in pic related(not a different langauge but the idea is the same). Now the reason it's "some" and not "all" is because it's translators for other languages are more professional. Which is also in pic related since they fix the continuity error. And on top of that they sometimes just ignore the english and actually translate the Japanese. If you just removed english translators the quality would improve substantially. Though a lot less people would be able to read it.
