Something that stands out is that the second lap in each race becomes a lap of another track. The person in the lead gets to choose between one known track and a random track. It then transitions back to the original track for the final lap.

Something else that stood out to me is the Gear System. To put it basically, you get six slots, with each taking up 1-3 slots. And it is fun to play around with.

Most of my other impressions are in comparison to MK.

The gear system was surprisingly fun. Builds can play entirely different from each other. When I got bored of abusing snaking, I swapped to aiming to hit as many people as possible, then swapped again to getting boosted the fuck out by rings. Never even got into some others like the inventory stuff or monster truck trolling.

My only problem with the game is the stilted animations, especially when it comes to how the cars orient themselves in the air.

I don't like the way they just snap to whatever rotation they need to make without any easing, it makes everything feel weightless. Some easing or lerping from modders will probably fix it.

Weirdly enough the "spin drift" animation gets it almost completely right.

Eventually the game just felt more like a job and less something I was playing for fun and naturally unlocking new stuff I was interested in along the way so I dropped it. All Crossworlds has to is not make the costumes, karts or whatever is in their in-game shop not stupidly expensive and allow you to use the tickets to buy them. If they want to put an option for buying tickets in the game, whatever, let people have the option. But don't make it fucking torture to get anything if you don't want to crack open the wallet for the $12.99 pack of 10000 (+1000 bonus!) tickets.

That's just the hope though, gotta brace myself for the possible reality that I'm going to see at some point that Rouge's Riders outfit is in the game but locked behind Premium Tickets that you can only get with real money.
