Crossworlds is more like a casual Mario Kart type game despite the physics being more akin to SASRT, since items hold a lot more power and the pack of racers is usually tighter compared to CTR or RR.

I don't even get this argument given hitstun was quickly nerfed and it's super easy to get back to speed with the many shortcuts and back placement item roulette allowing you to use them with sneakers and invincibility/growth. Manual roulette stopping is a blessing and I have no idea why it hasn't been copied in other kart games yet.
