I usually balance Speed and Power, and from what I've read Speed and Power are what you want mainly for Sprint and Mile, and Stamina is added only when you're doing Medium/Long.
That said I recently had a run with El Condor Pasa where I severely underdeveloped her Stamina compared to Speed and Power but she still won long races towards the end of her career. Still lost in URA Semifinals though.
Don't stay up late waiting for reset anon. Some people have trouble sleeping but I can do it with my eyes closed.
