Some writers write "woman" and then proceed to write generic shit. Whether those archetypes you said or something else. Some writers write like what was built up for MJ for so long into what is described as "WOMAN" and all that entails. Peter as well is basically "MAN" in that he starts out insecure and narrow in his thinking but then experiences a lot and grows into what he was at the end of JMS run.
Peter comes of age from being a man with inflexible principles into becoming one who gets too loose like during Spider-Man vs. Wolverine or during the Clone Saga when he is pushed to the edge. Same with MJ during that saga and during Gwen's death. They reach the point where they need to confront and do the feminine or masculine action that actually does help them. And they both do what is described feminine or masculine or vice versa because everybody has to at some point in life.
MJ goes to Peter's side and consoles him and Peter consoles MJ over her childhood growing up with her sister and father.
So yeah MJ is a character through and through, a larger than life one that also has realism also seen on the opposite end of the personality. Same with Peter.

Mary Jane's actual characterization is that she's a fun party girl on the surface but underneath is a grounded and emotionally stable person who carries a deep sadness with her. With the exception of the PS4 games, Raimi-Man, and the MCU, Mary Jane has been accurately depicted in this way in several adaptations. Ok you're kinda stretching the truth here. I'm not saying he should be a performer like he imagined at the beginning when he was Spider-Man. And at the beginning of the story Peter being someone who isn't objectivist is kinda the point. After the origin happens and he learns the moral of the story "with great power" that is basically Ditko planting the seed for him to become an objectivist analogue.
Ditko now has Peter using his powers responsibly (according to objectivism) which is helping others while still helping people like Aunt May or Betty. He is doing it within his current means which is due to his poor background and lack of certain skills like finance or persuasive skills. Stan had a say in the beginning as well so yeah he isn't a complete analogue but there are elements there.
There are also other ways for him to profit off being Spider-Man while still maintaining those principles. If Peter created the marketable design he has with the costume couldn't he then find a legal way to sell merch and profit from that? Then he could use that greater amount of money to benefit others? I don't fully know what objectivists think of that idea though.

So which superhero MJ is the best candidate for Marvel Rivals?

If I had to say something realistic...I guess they would just use the Spinnerette costume/powers or Jackpot. Please god no, not Jackpot.
If they do go Spinnerette, it's gotta be total redesign with full mask and different color scheme and suit layout either brand new or similar to the OG or Kaine's suit. I already said the stuff about the mask and scheme but I gotta say it again. RYV suit is just...ugh.
But if we were to get total wish fulfillment, She-VenoMJ and no NTR type lines where she is connected to Eddie in some way and a head that looks more like classic Venom and not that weird shape he has now.
MJ should also get some moves that are more spider-sense based and maybe she uses webs in cool and unique ways like a weaver. I know Silk has that type of niche but nah, I don't care for her though.

Ooohhh I'm a big Metal Gear guy and that is an interesting idea. If Knull is relegated to being only a guy who found symbiotes, gave them their weakness and then eventually got usurped and thrown onto another planet, and not the sole god of them with OP powers, I would do that. Then this Flash idea could still make him a hero (I know a lot of Spidey purists don't like supporting cast being heroes, I don't like them with 2 exceptions) but one that is limited in powers and acts as a flawed leader like Big Boss. Symbiotes also relying on hosts is kinda like how soldiers get sucked into their work and don't know how to be anything else. Flash being their leader would be awesome. Good idea anon.
But to maintain the horror and mystique of symbiotes Flash would have to really contend with leading them and confront unknown things about them. Maybe it might be best as an AU idea. Mania, Sha Shan, and Felicia all should be love interests though, lol.

Back on topic with MJ, I guess she would be pretty opposed to Flash doing this. She would lose a friend basically. But she is my other exception to a supporting character having powers and being a hero. It's just too fun for me not to accept. But it shouldn't happen all the time or be permanent. If Silver Surfer could give MJ cosmic awareness for a brief instance (like SS: Requiem) as part of an adventure this then could lead her to bringing Peter along on some space adventures with Flash. Peter could then possibly remind Flash of morality in case Flash is starting to lose himself to the influence of the symbiotes and their desires, leading to periods where they go berserk.
