Knights (or rather men at arms) most often wore tabards, and lots of armour was painted as well. Not only for aesthetics, it was a sort of rust protection. Medieval people didn't like things left bare. They would've thought of it as unfinished. They painted walls, windows, armour, clothes, belts, everything. It's a shame almost no games have painted armour, even though it was actually quite common at the time.

In sweden (and thus finland) the king always stood up for the peasantry (common people) against the nobility. I often wish we had some king like Gustav Vasa or Gustav III who would put these politicians and corporate rats in their place.
FYI Gustav III literally cast out the nobility from the estates general/diet (parliament) leaving only the clergy, burghers and peasantry to make decisions.

One thing to realize about EVERYONE in the 1930s is that literally every politician had PTSD from ww1 and they almost all experienced hunger and disease and war and society almost collapsed 10-20 years prior. EVERY movement and society at the time took harsh actions in everything they did because of this. The Nazis were not uniquely "evil". If National socialism was implemented TODAY by people who have grown up in this soft liberal society it wouldn't look like 1930s Germany.
