If I had to guess how the playerbase goes for retail its something 50% mounts, mogs, cheevos, 20% M+, 20% raiding 5% pvp, and 5% other. I say this because of how they choose to release content.

>M+ gets an affex rotation
>a new raid is released
>two months later the mounts mogs cheevo crowd gets new content
>two months later the mounts mogs cheevo crowd gets new content
>two months later the mounts mogs cheevo crowd gets new content
If it was M+ holding up the game more then the mounts mogs cheevos crowd then they would be getting the new content instead. The mounts mogs cheevo crowd are mentally ill people who have been playing the game since its launch and are the video game version if real life hoarders but instead of hoarding trash they hoard mounts mogs and cheevos. Its also why the main feature of the next expansion is again not something new for M+ but something for all the mounts mogs and cheevo players "housing" so they can decorate a house with all their useless mounts mogs and cheevo hoarded shit.

Not impossible at all, anyone can EASILY get into it they just NEED to give it a chance. Many people new come in and get shit on once and throw it away.
