It's a multi-layered thing.
>previously caused near-wipes in different runs and was saved by his team
>talked a big game about how his favorite part of the game is locking in and salvaging a disaster
>roasts other frost mages for failing to peel for their party
>talked about how he made his spec specifically to help peel for his party and that it's the reason he's a "veteran" Frost Mage player
>did nothing to actually help peel when the chips were down and it was time to help
>intentionally wasted his mana, refused to use his consumables, and didn't help
You can blame the druid for the fuck-up, but Jason had also made mistakes before and was covered by his team. You can blame the rogue for not doing enough, but he's a fucking rogue and it's not his job.
But none of that ACTUALLY matters. The problem is not that he killed his team or didn't do enough to save them. Nobody actually gives a shit about that, and we know they don't because multiple other mages caused or failed to prevent wipes. Nobody gave them shit or roasted their asses (besides Jason), because they acted like reasonable human beings and
A) apologized
B) expressed sympathy
C) went down with the ship
The problem with Jason was that he exposed himself as a fucking psycho by refusing to show empathy/sympathy, admitting no fault, instantly gaslighting his party, lying blatantly, shifting all blame, and being a dick. When people criticized him for it, he quadrupled down and threatened to report everybody to Twitch and Blizzard to get them banned off of both platforms (including threatening his guildmates and other streamers). Which is why he got guild-kicked. Nobody in the guild wanted to interact with him not just because of the roaching but because he was acting like a psycho.
It's totally fine to panic or let your party die. That shit happens and the entire guild was just for farming content like that. What isn't fine is acting like a fucking faggot about it.
