I still use my desktop, but it's getting on in years. I'm basically converting my Ipad 11th generation into a pseudo laptop with a keyboard case/trackpad. I don't even game on my PC anymore, so fuck it. I'll just use my Ipad as a laptop.

Hell, the fucking CPU in my Ipad is stronger than the Ryzen 7 3700x in my desktop, at least for single core processes, which is 100% what I use it for. I don't give a fuck about multi-core performance. And the GPU doesn't fucking matter if you're not gaming on it, or at least AAA gaming. Really that Ipad will do everything I need as a makeshift computer, and at least it'll continue to get firmware updates/support for the next 4-5 years at the minimum.

I'm not upgrading to Windows 11 until I save up the cash for a new gaming desktop, or just an new PC in general. Computers are fucking expensive. Sure, you can get a cheap $400-$500 laptop and it'll do everything you want for light-medium browsing/entertainment. Gaming laptops are still well over $1,000, and a mid-high gaming desktop will run you easily $1,400-$2,000+

I just can't afford that. Black Friday won't be enough to help me unless they markdown like $800-$1,000 laptops down by 40%-50%, which I can't see them doing. They're not gonna take a $1,000 laptop and sell it for $500-$600, and even if they did they'd sell out very quickly.

Just started playing and just defeated DONCHONGWONHONGLUSHUUU whatever that weird incel dude's name was that was in love with the actress or whatever. It took me about 4-5 tries.

So far I'm disappointed in the weapons. Spear seems to be the most fun, and axe is okay. I'm more of a DEX player, and Spear seems to be the fastest weapon in the game. I must have missed the tutorial dual blades because I never found them until I bought some from a shop, so haven't had a chance to try them out, but they feel slow. Longsword is boring and so is one handed sword, which is disappointing. I just noticed I seem to do the best with the spear. I only have one spell though and I'm really early in the game, not sure how fun magic is, so I can't judge it fully yet. It looks like one handed sword is supposed to be used with like a spellcaster/spellsword type build that focuses on magic primarily.

I also don't like that the game relies so heavily on perfect dodging. The only weapon in the game that can parry is dual blades, and the only one that can block is fucking axes. That's annoying. The "parry" isn't even a parry; it's more of a deflection. Same thing, I guess? But it doesn't feel like a parry.

I replayed RE4 Remake again and used the blacktail. I'm still in disbelief watching some enemies just not fucking stagger at all. I should be used to it by now but watching someone take that many shots to the head without staggering starts becoming questionable.

It's still fun, but I'm probably just doing a NG+ playthrough next time to carry over OP weapons and blast through it even faster. I don't like it more than the original, but I still think the remake succeeds at being replayable.
