A few quick matches made me realize this is probably the worst non flop platform fighter ever made

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but i think rivals 2 is the best modern fighter.
Look at tekken 8 and sf6.
The heat system an unbridled aggression completely ruins tekken 8, and the fans absolutely despise it, its in a horrible state.
Sf6 WOULD be good without loops and if there was some adjustments to drive rush.
Nrs games are janky jokes to bring at a party so yea.
Rivals 2 is the most mechanically sound fighter imo.
Yes the population is fur fags and troops, but just play online so you don't have to interact with em. It's just like playing smash.

this game's Elo / ranking system was really refreshing after getting mazed by SF6's system.

How is the online in this? Is it active? Lag? Im tempted to buy it.

I don't give a fuck about Smash now that there's an alternative with good gameplay. Sakurai can do whatever he wants, and Smash will continue to act as a ghetto for rosterfags who don't actually play platform fighters.
