Personally I believe pokemon CAN prefect the monster tamer formula but has yet to do so. Low production value, mostly poor story telling. And the disconinuation of the connectivity of past games. Why get attached to my pokemon when I cant use em next year for the next game.
On the positives the world building and lore is really good, ripe for potential and despite no plans of buying any pokemon games I do wanna see the legends line continue because it is a good idea to expand the world.
