There is an argument. Sony, Nintendo and Valve do not care about or respect the rating system when it comes to anime games and fanservice. Having a character design like this, regardless of rating, will get your game censored on Playstation, censored/banned from a western release on Switch, banned from Xbox, and banned from Steam. The Google/Apple stores are just somehow less restrictive and anti-anime than every single legacy storefront nowadays.

As far as anyone knows, no, and IFI is usually upfront when it happens. In fact, the whole reason these versions exist is because of NINTENDO forcing censorship and blocking the Switch versions.

This is basically the exact same situation as the Neptunia Re;Birth trilogy a year ago, and we saw how that ended. Got suddenly pulled a day before release, vague, uncertain statement from publisher, finally months later confirmation that Nintendo blocked the release.

The age ratings don't matter when it comes to the recent in-house regulations of Sony/Nintendo/Xbox/Valve and even GOG. If your game has content they don't like, they will censor it or outright ban its release regardless of whether the game is E or M-rated or even if they're ports of older games already rated and sold in the west a decade ago. Put simply, they just don't want these games to exist at all.

The age rating doesn't matter when it comes to these companies internal regulations. If your game has something they don't like it, they will ban it or censor it, it doesn't if the game is E or M-rated or even if they're ports of older games already rated and sold in the west a decade ago.

Both Steam and Nintendo are so bad now that Sony actually looks good next to them. It's just a consequence of letting this fester with little to no pushback. Sony should have had live demonstrations and protests in front of their HQ combined with the entire Japanese game industry pulling support for Playstation consoles. But none of that happened and so Valve and Nintendo realized they could get away with it too.

Boycott the Switch 2 until they stop censoring Japanese anime games.

GIVE ME MY FUCKING NEPS BACK!

This applies to everything. Payment processors brought this issue to fore, but I'm doubtful that even if they're defeated that Steam/Sony/Nintendo will start allowing Japanese moe ecchi games again. Hence this; whatever restrictions are placed on payment processors, they should be placed on major storefronts as well, or this will just happen again whenever one or more of them decides some innocuous Japanese game "damages their brand". Pic related is a set of T-rated games; there is no good fucking reason why they should have gotten this treatment, and I can only assume they're just discriminating against Japanese content when fucking Z/M-rated Cyberpunk can have full blown dicks swinging around on-screen.

They haven't released the patch because they're stuck trying to salvage IFI's loss on the Neptunia Re;Birth ports on Switch, which has been their priority for several months now.

>ReVerse port for Switch 2
Not happening, they already banned Re;Birth 1 and the rest of the Re;Births.

They blocked 3 out of 4 mainline games and censored the swimsuits out of the game with the lowest ESRB rating in the series. Neptunia on Nintendo consoles is done, they've become Steam/Mary on steroids.

>ecchi games with no microtransactions
Those are hard to get nowadays. That's the point.

Except for Kanon and maybe the two VNs Amairo Chocolate and The Fox Awaits Me HANA, these are games all made for consoles first, that may or may not have received PC ports later. Most of them were already rated by the ESRB or PEGI before being blocked by Nintendo themselves. Kanon received heavy additional censorship from its version on the Japanese e-shop, while Amairo Chocolate was explicitly already rated before being postponed and then canceled. IFI also explictly blamed the "Nintendo Guidelines" when the Neptunia Re;Births and DERQ Code Z were canceled.

Was possible up to 2018. Now literal pajeets and SEAnigs can pay for uncensored loli hentai on DLSite directly while you have to jump through multiple hoops.

I wouldn't be on PC if Nintendo were still willing to sell me the games I want. I was a loyalist for two decades, then this happened.

Do you consider Neptunia (T-rated game) porn? Because the people running this joint evidently do?
>>715453775
>include sexualization of children, overly sexual content
I am getting really fucking sick of everyone treating Japanese games that were normal for decades like they're suddenly contraband now as an excuse to cull them. No Nintendo, Neptunia is not fucking child porn by any jurisdiction's definition and has not ever been despite what mentally ill Xittertards might say. Fucking piss off already!
>>715456918
Yep, you guessed it. T-rated Neptunia gets a hard ban but M/Z-rated Cyberpunk 2077 gets away with full dick nudity.
>>714038804
Unfortunately, you see that all the time even on this very site. Like when Nintendo blocked the releases of the Neptunia Re;Births and DERQ Code Z, a lot of tendies just switched to "who cares, it's weeb shovelware", the same arguments Sonyfags used when Snoy first turned out and killed Senran Kagura. This after promoting Nintendo and the Switch as a haven for Japanese expression from Gaystation for years.
>>713710337
Also not allowed to release outside of Asia on Switch. We've reached a point where the most basic fanservice involving anime girls is now treated as contraband nearly on par with political extremist propaganda.

Nintendo's giving mixed signals here.

If nobody cares about, why did they feel the need to censor it?
>>712827813
Buddy, they won't even let Neptunia (T-rated) through these days. Tokyo Clanpool, Prison Princess Trapped Allure and Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Srpings all had their touching minigames/mechanics gutted or removed from their Switch versions, meaning at the VERY least, you won't be allowed to have Intimacy Mode, the exact same as what Snoy did to Burst Re;Newal, and that's just for an Asian release, there's practically zero chance it could come westward on Switch no matter what they do. They'd literally be better off with Snoy, at least they'll still let you have a global release after making the required censorship. By the way, those AI slop games are on Playstation and Steam, too. Either they're made in such quantities so at least some of them slip by approval, or there's nothing even remotely provocative in them contrary to the titles.
