because im not icelandic and nobody knows what an eddur is so eddas is an appropriate Anglicization of the form.
I assume some type of crane since thats thoth, the egyptian god of knowledge. I just think its a funny picture
and the eddas are not 'sullied' by christianianity, this is often repeated by both wiccans and christians seeking to destroy the foundations of Asatru. everything in the eddaic lays and poems can find congruences in other indo-european mythologies, and there are older sources from the romans, britons and other cultures, even the arabs, that further substantiate the claims made in the eddas. the prose edda was the only book written by a christian (not a scribe or a monk, a skald, which was an inherently pagan profession that specialized in memorizing pagan lore for royal court poetry) nobody knows who compiled the poetic edda, and its linguistic traces place its actual writing (note that writing and compiling are different) much earlier than the christian period. most of the eddaic heroic lays deal with historical events of the 2nd-5th century ad in germania, not scandinavia
I see what youre doing tho because the bock saga is a bunch of crackpot shit about self-fellatio or whatever. its funny only christians ever mention the bock saga, you guys must really like auto-fellating finns
