This has always been well known, the internet is ruining society because it gives anyone a platform, pre social media if you had retarded fringe ideas the only place you could share them was the people around you and they'd mock you for being a retard and then move on, post social media no matter how fucking retarded you are you can find someone who is willing to engage with you and validate your ideas
Which is also why people are more divided than ever, because no matter what you post you get engagement it encourages people to have an opinion on everything possible even things you have no stake in or wouldn't have cared about pre internet
