He's had zero luck "forcing" Xi (or Putin) to do anything. So he's coping by slapping some South American shitholes and dumping gibs on others, to show that he's a Real Big-Boy International Power.
He'll be lucky if the Narcos don't start up a fund to put a bullet in him.

It's insane to me how years ago, I thought paying hundreds for games would only ever be an issue for games released in cartridge based consoles. It never crossed my mind that would also happen to Disk based consoles like the PS2...

I want to say OP is a zoomer with a completely fried attention span, but there has been an worsening trend where the longer a show's runtime is, the harder it is to justify the runtime. The stories aren't written for it, often with subplots that go nowhere, or a bunch of lame gags that could have been funny if they weren't used to fill runtime. But with a really short runtime the weaker elements and unnecessary fluff gets pruned to fit the runtime.

These days longer runtimes basically just guarantees slower pacing instead of more content.

Change how each job works, so that people will finally have to learn how to use them and not simply spam colorful buttons in a boring sequence. Add something fun to it, like that debuff Warrior would get whenever you went berserk and that a healer had to remove with Esuna.

Second, improve the MSQ. Let's be honest, it was one of the biggest appeals of the game, because most players are just casuals who only care about dialogues, pretty places, new lore, and new cool glam. Dawntrail basically annihilated any goodwill the team had collected with the release of ShB and EW.

Try to decrease the time between patches. They increased it by using Covid as an excuse and hoped no one would notice it was still longer than usual when the plague ended. To do this, though, they would need more resources and money, which apparently Square has no intention of giving them despite demanding the same player count of ShB's times.

And finally, try to bring back Koji-Fox and Ishikawa back on the project, at least for a little while. They were objectively the glue that kept the game together, thanks to Koji's autism with lore and flowery language that never felt too modern and Ishikawa's talent with characters and melancholy stories. I can't deal with Dawntrail's sickening optimism anymore. Even the tribal quests of the Mamool Ja are devoid of any conflict, while by all logic they should be wary of a literal who scientist from Sharlayan.

It's a show with exactly one (1) fresh premise, that all teh Demons pretend to be nice guys, infiltrate then do horrible shit. That's the only fresh idea/design/concept in the entire series, unless you want to count all the severely autistic characters (so the audience can relate).
And somehow, despite the Demons playing this game for at least centuries, if not millennia, regular people keep falling for it/are unaware of it. So Frieren blows them up because her Mana is Maximum.

Oh and society is somewhat fearful of magic users, which is odd in a setting where some rando dorf can train some non-magical kid to cut a mountain in half with a non-magical sword.
