I'm writing a story where you have 25 Ralseis simulated on your desktop. They're all locked in individual rooms and they each have a big display that shows them all the other Ralseis. The reader has controls they can use by right clicking on any window to change any characteristic of one of the rooms, and they can drag or throw items around with their mouse cursor. If any of the windows are closed by the user, the Ralsei inside it explodes, and all the other Ralseis see this. They can also see what changes you do to any Ralsei's room or if your cursor is hovering over their room; basically they can see your screen. When the first Ralsei gets killed the group moves from confusion and disorientation to fearful panic. Some of them try to escape the room and others wonder if the Angel is doing this and try to do plead or do things to appease the reader.
I think eventually the last couple Ralseis will get left in the rooms indefinitely, with nowhere to go. They find a way to communicate with each other and try to think of a plan. But the reader finally comes back later and really fucks with one of the rooms' settings in terms of burning temperature and ear splitting noise until all that Ralsei can do is scream and beg and plead, scaring the couple remaining Ralseis into a terrified stupor where they stop even moving, praying silently that they won't be next.
Eventually the second to last Ralsei dies, and as the final Ralsei starts sobbing, the player exports their data back to Deltarune, causing the traumatized Ralsei to wake up in Castle Town as Kris & Susie arrive to visit.

The Dark World is a sentient substance/world that uses the minds that enter it to create their perfect world. It is an inverse of Magicant, and it is also a more active participant in the story than Mother 3’s Dark Dragon (which I think the dragon dreams the Nowhere Islands and the characters we generally see, outside of Porky as the evil influence).
For our Deltarune characters, it’s about yearning for lives they never had or lost. Themes repeated heavily by Giegue and Porky.
Titans forming are a manifestation of searching for that thing that never was or lost. A loss of a self generally. Titans are the Giygas and Masked Man in turn for this story, the absolute destruction of the mind that they no longer have anything but destruction on their mind, or maybe not even that.
This story will probably be left up to interpretation at the end, and for now that’s how I see it.

Anyone else notice that the two optional boss fights are very Susie focused? Gerson one very obviously but even the Knight tends to focus on Susie being the key player.

It makes me wonder if the game is planning a protagonist shift. We already have the zelda game foreshadowing the idea of control switching over to susie. Susie is proving to be more of a protagonist than Kris who has shown to be an antagonistic force.

The very first thing the game does when it starts up is shit on the concept of empty vessels you self-insert into. Maybe that logic is also applying to the idea of silent protags and the game is suggesting that it is more interesting when your protagonist talks and has more of a personality.

I haven't followed chapter 3+4 discussion that much but I took a peek on release day and there was a ton of doomposting, toby lost the sauce it's over etc and I don't see as much now. You're not going to control Susie, you don't have to control a protagonist for them to be a protagonist. This is more what the dog is going for than "shifting" the protagonist. Kris never was one, never will be one, and Chapter 3 made that clear through subtext about his laziness and cheating to get ahead rather do work or grow. The presence of (You) and whatever summoned you to them is indicative of that behavior. Susie doesn't need or want (You) or something like it. If anything we're just going to be an antagonist (Weird Route) or delivery boy for the hero (like Oblivion).
