I don't agree with the guy you're replying to but a major part of why men are more likely to commit suicide than women is because of heavy ingrained stigmatization against men opening up emotionally. Even the fags who tell you you need to open up don't want you to open up to them particularly, and if you do they'll judge you for it. Men used to handle this by creating "male spaces" where they can open up to each other in a socially acceptable way, but those have been eroded so now unless you want to join the military and die for Israel there's no acceptable place to be emotionally open as a man.
