The real issue with Nahida(and Dendro in general) is that the element has largely been ignored for nearly three years unlike nearly everything else which has gotten a specialized support. If there was a character like Escoffier but for Dendro/Electro team comps Nahida would immediately be back in top tier.

NTA but Furina is still highly valuable in a lot of teams even where her burst isn't doing much because even though Hydro has a ton of off-field options Furina is realistically the only one who works in many teams. Xingqiu/Yelan require comboing to trigger their burst and that's single target only. Kokomi's skill has awful uptime, zero mobility(this was fine years ago but it really doesn't work today) and a fairly small AoE. Barbara requires you to hug enemies, has bad uptime and an excessive cooldown which doesn't work in any rotation. Mona barely has an off-field presence. Ayato kind of works because his burst at least has good uptime but it's too random in a lot of situations and he needs a fuckton of ER/particle funneling. Nilou is kind of okay. Sigewinne is basically Kokomi but in exchange for not being circle impact she loses the AoE potential. Candace requires c6 and for the on-field character's attacks to count as normal attacks to trigger.

Furina is simply the best option in just about every case even if you're not factoring in her burst. She has decent elemental application, her pets are aggressive as fuck and attack from a long range on top of their 30s duration and she deals respectable personal DPS. There isn't going to be another decent off-field AoE Hydro character until Aino releases.

Fischl is still relevant because of her hit count, particle generation and absurd reaction potential. Yae is mediocre by today's standards and doesn't really compare to more recent off-field DPS unless you have her at c2r1.

Ineffa doesn't exactly directly compare to them though. Her damage is complete garbage unless she is in a team with enough Hydro application that she can keep Lunar-Charged going since that's like 80-90% of her overall damage. She's not really competing in the same teams.

It would depend on how powerful the Lunar version, what sort of support the character provides and what their element is. The best case scenario for Fischl would be a Dendro support who applies Lunar Quicken which empowers both Spread and Aggravate. An Electro carry could also work. An Electro off-fielder is where things get iffy because you have your Dendro applier, Dendro/Electro on-fielder and the Lunar trigger. For Fischl to be able to stay on the team she'd have to deal enough damage to make up for what the rest of the team would gain having a general support like Xilonen. If the Lunar character provides some kind of Dendro/Electro res shred then you could easily drop Xilonen/Kazuha to keep Fischl.

They're like ubisoft POIs, it's not like Stalker where you have like really intricate and unique anomalies, difficult to find stashes, or organic and interesting combat situations breaking out that are so great they can be the highlight of your entire playthrough. Yes Lauma is technically buff for Nahida specifically for Bloom teams but this assumes you already have c2 Nahida. Lauma does nothing for Quicken teams which is where Nahida actually deals damage.

Having to figure out a path to some area you want to visit is gameplay.

Playing a few hours of Genshin accomplishes nothing as it takes like 80+ hours to start being forced into the elemental rodeo as you can wipe everything prior to WL6 with basic attacks and just using skills with the occasional burst and no elemental reaction. A relative of mine survived to WL7 on just the Playstation sword and Traveler while refusing to use bursts outside of actual bosses since the artifact and talent systems weren't that clear and only using basic guys like Kaeya for their normal skills to do some damage and maybe do a really low damage reaction with no understanding of why fights were taking forever.

Early game also only has you in Mondo which is the closest to a tutorial area you can get as the mountains aren't very steep and it's rolling plains outside of Stormterror's Lair and it takes dozens of hours to leave unless you intentionally start exploring other regions. Liyue is far more varied in its exploration due to the canyons, Anemo wind gusts, and more, and as you progress through the game it stops being basic. You will also be progressively fighting harder and harder enemy types that mandate using elemental reactions.

Using STALKER as your open world comparison makes no sense because STALKER is a very small hub world with very specific ways to play it that you can't deviate from. Genshin is compared to BotW and Ubisoft games because it is structured exactly like them, and if you dislike exploring for random puzzles to unlock small rewards then you're never going to like it.

Lauma enables Lunar Bloom and has passives which can increase Bloom and Hyperbloom damage as well as making them crit. Ineffa is an off-field Lunar Charged character who buffs EM and Lunar Charged is designed in such a way that it hits in an area and can trigger dendro seeds.

You can make Lunar Charged and Hyperbloom co-exist if you have a Hydro character with fast enough application rate to occasionally overtake Dendro, and Lunar Charged / Ineffa passive has a limited maximum trigger rate so you don't need Hydro to sit on the target the whole time for this to work. There are various ways you could design a Hydro "archon" to tie this together
