I never said anyone had to get their clear on a MiSTer, I said the platform you get the clear on, or even a WR, on doesn't fucking matter. MiSTer is one of the best places to play retro games, because 99.9% of games do NOT have extremely high quality M2 ports like Battle Garegga does, plus that would very quickly get expensive paying $40 for each game. PS4 Battle Garegga port is a very low-lag, feature-rich port with leaderboards, replays, tools, and more accessible and convenient than playing at the arcade (many Japanese players view emulation as taboo).

You are comparing one single game, a modern port with a bunch of extra features, to a device (which is $200 btw, not $500), that is capable of emulating many thousands of games across many dozens of platforms, arcade, PC, and console. Yeah the Japs are so fucked, emulation of all kinds is viewed is immoral, impure, and probably illegal. They are so cucked over there it's actually unreal. They pay for shitty arcade ports instead of just using MAME/MiSTer (there are some great ports that do offer some small advantage over MAME/MiSTer, but most are garbage)
