When the attacks collide into hearts, try to stay in the middle and go bobbing between the attacks vertically instead of diagonally. When the attacks start cancelling eachother out, try to move away from the middle to get as much space as possible.
When they start circling eachother, the bullets stop at the center. Focus on simply moving away from the wave of bullets when it's near while dodging the other bullets when they shoot out, instead of trying to dodge both at the same time.
You can get hit up to 3 times before any more awards you an S-Rank. So don't worry too much if you accidentally get hit.

Here's something pretty obvious for your consideration that I noticed on my replay that I have not seen discussed much:
Queen tells Kris and the gang that lightners can create a Dark Fountain, and Kris does so immediately at the end of C2, could it be that Kris has not yet made a dark fountain before? Could it be that he didn't know he was capable of spreading darkness like that? Could it be that whoever he talks with over the phone is not quite so omniscient when directing him?

Reminder:
Both in Undertale and now probably Deltarune, the player has not existed as an actual in-universe entity. Chara was guiding or controlling Frisk in both genocide AND pacifist routes. Asriel name drops them both times. Chara is talking to Frisk in the genocide ending. If Deltarune works like Undertale, and the SOUL making its own actions seems to imply that, then it's not impossible that we are Chara. But we also could be an entirely different entity controlling the SOUL. We, though, as the player, do not exist. We are playing as somebody that controls the SOUL.

Here's a hot take for you. I think the game kills its role playing elements when Kris rips the Soul out of his body, only to still have you play as Kris in the next chapter.
Especially after he creates a fountain, I feel this feeling is prevalent.
It doesn't make sense to be playing as the character who is directly causing the problems you are supposed to be solving using said character.

okay the image here is very supplementary to what I'm gonna say, which is less about the identity of the knight but who they are as a person.
what I think is that the knight was formerly a highly successful person (potentially an actor of some kind, given how kris mirrors their cool action poses) who suffered a severe mental health crisis like schizophrenia, brain trauma, etc. that let to catastrophic career failure. essentially, they went from being a star to barely able to support themselves due to their disability. the worst of it being that they were not properly cared for by society, being left behind/forgotten and left to fester in severe poverty.
kris, suffering from their own self-worth issues and feeling inadequate compared to asriel, wanting to become a "big shot", got wrapped up with said forgotten fallen star and their plan to do something with the bunker, and have knowingly put themselves and others around them at risk.
thinking about this stuff makes me think deltarune might have a theme of mental illness in society that it's going to use to make a point by the end of the game. characters like purple guy, the warrior, the nameless library bird, and even kris who has been argued to be autism-coded, that are displaying signs of mental illness without being explicitly stated. A lot of people laugh at these characters or see them as suspicious/dangerous without knowing what's actual going on with them, creating potentially isolating/abusive environments without realizing it.

Comforting Ralsei during this scene is so beautiful.
It's not just one of the most personal and vulnerable moments in the game for him, where you really, really get a good look on how he is when Kris and Susie aren't present. You finally get a chance to cut through his self-doubt, and you get to cut deep.
Ralsei's entire existence, his only purpose, has been for the sake of others. All of the small moments where Ralsei gets to do things on his own are beautiful as well, but this is the moment where you get to finally say it.

Fighting and mercy in deltarune are built to be alternative twin systems, it isn't like undertale where a big point of the game is "this is the game where you don't have to fight", in DR they feel more like just alternative solutions to the same problem, and yet, it isn't because acting is clearly the correct method and the only reason to fight is specifically wanting to fight. The game encourages you to act, and it even encourages the weird route by giving you an entirely different route, but plain fighting is just there. It neither gives you the benefits of the normal route like recruiting, is overall imo sometimes even slower than just ACTing, and to our knowledge doesn't have a big impact like the weird route, it is just there.
And besides the occasional Titan and Knight fight, ACTing basically makes your weapon irrelevant, cutting out a part of the RPG element. I met people who straight up forgot to upgrade their weapons because, besides those two fights and one of them is basically a scripted loss, you don't ever need to fight.
I LIKE ACTing, my normal route is an "ACT" route, my problem is Toby despite having a good fight system to serve as an alt doesn't really use it. Despite having three saves, I don't feel any reason to want to do a fight route when the weird route does it better, but that just feels like Fighting despite not being "genocide" in DR might as well BE "genocide"

Here's my theory:
The tragedy in the prophecy is that one of the heroes must kill another among them.
This is why Susie tells Kris "we're not gonna let that happen," and she tells Ralsei "I KNOW you won't let that happen."
But in one of the later chapters, Ralsei is going to come up to Kris when he's found a moment to be away from Susie.
And he's going to tell Kris that obviously, Ralsei should be the one to die. He's just a darkner, he's just a toy, he's not real, he never went to school, sob sob sob, etc.
And then, it's going to be the inversion of the end of genocide route.
Where Ralsei says, in a shaky voice between tears, "Please kill me."
And then of course you get to choose. And maybe for maximum drama, Susie walks back in right as you choose the kill option.
