Markets off to a rocky start this morning. I hope the japanese man bought to close his puts as NVDA nosedives to his breakeven range. The graphene stock is holding up however. Too soon to say whether it will be able to execute its production ambitions, but the bearish sentiment sowed by the shorts has dried up. The chart doesn't look like a pump and dump anymore.

Bitcoin is also taking a hit this morning. Bears were quick as usual to call for a retracement to the 200 W SMA (which is already over 50k now!). I predict that the price will find support where it is, or not much lower. The bull market support band is about to be tested, a metric that is characterized by the 21w EMA and the 20w SMA. Should this support materialize, it's very reasonable to expect that next month will be the first post-halving year September that prints green. I am betting that it will. My covered calls are hugely OTM at the moment now that bitcoin has dropped 3.5% so I bought to close, even though the distribution amount isn't announced this evening. The bounce could happen before then, but more likely it will occur sometime over labor day weekend.

I have been thinking how to reply to your last post. You both have a very steep hill to climb, and it will take a mutual effort. Based on the limited context provided, I don't think you can reasonably expect her to be the only one open to change. And I know you understand that you can't cajole her to your side. Change will have to come from both sides. If you are set on this quixotic endeavor to bridge the gap between liberal jew and white-protectionist, you'll have to open yourself up to embracing her perspective, if nothing more than to understand where she is coming from. So what is it with US coastal elites these days? I see we have two in the thread. One east coast one west coast. benched 190 3x4, couldn't manage that 5th rep. did 2 supersets at 135 on the advice of my spotter, he said it would help me get strength and size, i'm not so sure about that but it couldn't hurt, and it did feel light as a toothpick so that's a confidence boost, that's the weight i started at back in february, and actually when i first started benching in my 20's i started at 50 lbs. i've come very far since then. didn't do squats or deadlifts but hope to get back to them soon. overall decent but most important i didn't overdo it and i'll do better next time.

Feeling like a king with my GOOG stack

trade hasn't gotten any worse and account is still up, so i guess it's a good day so far, especially with that adventure.

hooked again on this trade and i should have known. when you see a mega cap going up an insane amount and futures not playing along much, you should expect moves like this, basically the market makers short everything except for the few winning stocks which are well telegraphed in the after hours and they use the mega caps to levitate the indices while everything else gets sold. classic scam, seen it so many times, upset i fell for it. but even so i only need 1% move in soxx to get to breakeven and it's down 5% in recent days, i think i can make my money back and more. obviously would be better to make money every second but trading isn't always fun like that. do think it grinds down a little bit more but don't think it goes any lower or has that 3rd gap down, think after today they'll be ready to pump markets again.

I remember I once was in a vegas casino with a fellow tourist who told me how he wants to try to "cook" the machine so it would give out the jackpot. So he played for a long time next to me only occasionally playing to get free drinks and all the while I told him that he's failing and it's probably not gonna work playing dumb but in reality I very well understood what he meant. I don't know that it's a hardship. I've gone through a weird period where I can't really enjoy anything unless money is on the line. I guess that's why I ended up here. It's really more about the rush than the money. When I lose I don't really care, but when I win, my dick gets diamonds. I just have to reel it in a bit because last month I got real dumb with it. Like for the first time in the last 15 years my checking account hit $13, which is appalling. I generally keep about $3k in my checking at all times, but I just went on a psychotic gambling spree. There is really no machine that you can "cook" outside of I suppose a progressive slot, but even then slot machines are designed to payout based on a ratio. Winning is random based on this formula, so people hawking machines is a complete waste of time.

yes ofc it was a progressive slot it had like apples that could fall out of a tree and it was ripe but it was hard to tell how ripe. It was a small jackpot so that's probably why it was already done. The guy was planning to come back he said after I won but I just ignored his complaints.

that's a pretty good gambling story. i don't gamble much but i used to play the lottery when my life was at it's worst, and i won a little bit of money. i've played poker and blackjack in a casino, both times i went up some money but didn't walk away so ended up losing it, about $100 each time, but i don't really gamble. i used to watch a ton of sports, and i began to notice how much point shaving and match fixing goes on in that as well, it's hard for me to enjoy them anymore because it's rampant and i notice right away, so never bet on sports ever. everything is rigged, even women's tennis. basketball is the worst followed by football, baseball is less rigged and harder to rig but there's a lot of nonsense that goes on in that too. i still watch football though, it reminds me of when i was a kid, playing and watching with my dad.

That's not what a progressive slot is. A progressive slot has a jackpot that is tied to all the machines and as people put more money in the number goes up. In some cases, once the jackpot hits a "cap" it will be forced to payout to somebody playing due to the machines rules. You are more likely talking about a bonus.

thinking about you babe. and i know we've been over this but the lesson didn't stick so i'm saying it again. i hope you're still reading, but whether you are or not i need to say it for my own conscience, my own karma. you really do need to feel bad about doing wrong. and you are doing wrong. i'm not trying to scold you, even though it seems like that, i'm trying to tell you that there are consequences to the self-delusion, lying to yourself and excusing wrongdoing as no big deal. in the first place it doesn't fool god, he cannot be lied to. in the second place it damages you and your spirit, it makes you weaker, it makes it easier to do even worse, it makes it impossible to learn from your mistakes, and the more you do it, the more you lie to yourself, it's a downward spiral. and sometimes we can't handle knowing we did wrong, it hurts too much. i know babe. and that's why you have to be able to forgive yourself for it, which is something totally different than excusing yourself for it. forgiveness happens after honesty and repentance, excuses skips that process altogether. there is pain in self-reflection, i won't deny that, but all scales get balanced eventually, you can't really forego it, karma always gets her way one way or another. you need to believe in temperament and character. good people do good things, bad people do bad things. i know that sounds simple but think about that. everyone thinks they are doing good for themselves, but is it really good for you to cuss and rage? objectively no, but somehow you've fooled yourself into thinking it is, or that it's not consequential, but baby everything we do is of consequence. you're one complete fabric, one person throughout, what you do matters and makes you who you are. you are what you do, not what others say you are, not what your titles and awards say - you are what you do. and i want you to be a good girl, and i know that's what you want deep down too.

an incremental improvement on distance. i hit it and also improved my pace. my cardio is still not very good, but i get sweaty every night and it's getting better every time. i'm not really focused on cardio though, i despise it, but i know how important it is so i do it on my non-lift days.
