What do we think about the Great Shark Coverup theory?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9q6jVAY_EA

TL;DW shark fatalities per year are vastly underestimated and the total is closer to 100-400 deaths per year. A mix of tourism boards and shark apologists fudge the numbers for profit-seeking and misguided ideological reasons (Jaws guilt). Perhaps not a true conspiracy but a convenient convergence of interests. The ocean is a jungle infested with gigantic predators and the risks, while small, are still much larger than what people will tell you, especially the 'sea puppies" crowd that insists they are just misunderstood.

What is the verdict on this theory?

Anyone know what animal this came from? It was found in mid-eastern Texas.
I've already ruled out black bear, coyote, mountain lion, boar, bobcat, and can't think of any other predators in the area that would have a skull this size. Two more photos incoming.

What are these appendages on this "Parson's spider"? /an/
What are these appendages I've circled? I'm about 90% certain it is Parson's spider and I'm in the Midwest where they live but I'm just confused what these appendages on the back are.

I think this is a pregnant female because I saw a much smaller spider I struggled to identify a few months earlier that I eventually determined was a Parsons spider and I let it live. And this one matches up with it but much bigger which is likely because my home has insects to eat and we Never kill spiders bros.

Kitten Essentials /an/
So I just got two kittens, a brother and sister who have acclimated well to my home but I want to make things as safe and enjoyable as possible. I have a lot of rooms I've been trying to make kitten proof so they can navigate generally freely. What may be some good things I can do, buy to help with this. Also fine for any generally recommended things for them outside all the essentials which I have.
