>spell buffs me
I'm using it every boss fight and making it an integral part of my strategy.
>item buffs me
Forgotten about after five minutes, likely sold for pocket change when I'm trying to buy something later down the line.
Same goes for debuff items as well, typically. DoT-causers get a pass as that's my favorite strategy anyway and I can actually incorporate those into it.

Here's a list of cancerous ccg metas and why they are bad
1. OTK/combo meta
if you've ever heard of the term "playing solitaire" this is what it refers to
this is the current hearthstone meta
every ccg will have this at one point, because devs are retarded and will keep making new cards that synergize
and with so much synergy they will unwittingly create combos so powerful that every craft will have an OTK deck
this is not interesting to play or watch, because it comes down to draw rng
currently we only have one otk deck (2 if you count rune), which is fine
2. Aggro meta
this is the current shadowverse meta
usually happens when a new game or set is released
it's usually very cheap to run decks in this meta
it's interesting to watch, but not interesting to play
it devalues all defensive oriented cards like wards or healing, as exemplified by shadowverse pros removing ceres from their abyss decks
it's a low skill meta where your objective is to pump out as many suicide bombers to try to rush down the enemy hp before they can respond (prevalence of storm in current meta)
3. Stall meta
this is where shadowverse is headed towards
it's the opposite of aggro meta
it's not interesting to watch, or play
both players skip turns 1-5 then vomit a board of unkillable creatures
then they stall until one or the other runs out of cards
please do not let this be the meta for 1.5 months thanks

Technically I have a playable version, but I'm officially in the "no more refactoring, only duct-tape and hot glue" phase of coding.

It's appalingly unreadable
I understand they wanted their game to have some kind of "flair" but at this point it's getting in the way of my enjoyment

Don't worry, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 4 will be announced SOON, its part of the new push of Marvel vidya. Why wouldn't they do it? 3 sold really well, more than the first two games combined.
It's gonna happen. It has to happen.
