I genuinely don't know what they could do to make me buy one.
>New smash bros
>New Mario
>New Zelda
>New Metroid
I'm good, no thank you. I don't want to buy a system that you brick accidentally cause I bought a used game or I have a power surge and you think I'm trying to hack the system. Add to that you gave me fuck all for memory storage, have thermal issues and won't let me.put whatever SD card I want and modern games are all 40gb behemoths... and wtf is even the point?

I'm not a impulsive basedboy like Mudahar. I didn't change my mind about Xbox one after the stunt they tried pulling, I won't change my mind for BingBingWahoo 2.
They have survived under performance before.... but even the underperfomers had a charm to them
>N64 had some banger games and even though Carts were outdated trash, it did have some power and sold units
>Gamecube got owned by PS2, every console did and even though it lacked features it was a cute little console for sleepovers and party games
>Wii U sold like trash but if you owned one, it was a pretty okay experience.
But this? This is absolute dogshit.
It treats me like a criminal for legally purchasing and playing products.
The games look like shittier versions of PC games
They nickle and dime for fucking everything.

They made a console that finally wasn't fun. Congrats Nintendo!

Gee I wonder what horrible decision Xbox made that caused gamers to lose all faith and trust in them for over a decade

I wonder if you empathize with the game devs who make shitty games...

>8th gen
>The ps4... which barely had any exclusives, started charging for online, and stopped people from playing ripped movies off USB drives
>Xbone, the spyware TV system thay occasionally could be used to play games that killed Microsoft off
>The wii u... the lowest selling main line Nintendo system that bareky caught up to the power of PS3 and had a $100 controller with forced gimicks
This generation cenemented that I was never going back to consoles, switch being a minor exception

So let me get this straight...
>Bought all the major classic studios
>Goes through massive antitrust case to do it
>says the won't raise prices as an agreement of the fcc suit, raises it anyway.
>has all their dirty laundry leak via discovery in FCC/Playstation lawsuit
>Kills 3 of the largest most profitable game devs because you wanna get that sweet Blackrock money with DEI
>You consoles barely sell because yoi tried fucking your customers over a decade ago with the Xbone and they never forgave you.
>Think that you can just pivot everyone to PC gaming and force them to use your spyware shit OS and make money selling ads and data.... then steam solved to games not working on Linux problem, and to make it worse they run better on Linux cause your OS is so bloated and shitty.
>Finally make some smart pivot moves to turn xbox to a pc gaming platform.... except your streaming service is shit and losing money, opening your platform means no more Live membership money
At best, you will survive, losing multiple revenue sources and making horrible purchases and decisions.
At worse you are now stuck in a position where you will be forced to subsidize the losses from the xbox division to more ads and data selling to the OS/business users who will then consider just switching to linux if you go to overboard with shitty ads and data selling.

Couldn't happen to a better company

Some argue 7th gen was the peak of gaming and everything after was downhill.
Some argue that the 7th gen was.the beginning of the end and the start of the ugliest practices of gaming.

Everyone can agree after the 7th gen, gaming only got worse.

>$1k for PS6
Or pay a fraction of that for a Lenovo Legion Go or steam deck.
>Xbox
Oh gee, maybe it was a bad idea to try and force a TV first gaming system with no ability to turn off the spy camera, say you couldn't remove it, walk it back showing you fucking lied, then push woke faggotry.
Gamers don't forget and forgive very easily.

Console war... lol
>Playstation still owns most of the console nigger cattle and is a year or two away from ps6 allegedly.
>Xbox has been shitting the bed since XBOX ONE and is finally sobering up after buying all the good devs and turning them into dogshit and realizing that they may lose their OS dominance as well with their hardware requirements faggotry is gonna make poor fags either install linux and figure it out or spend thousands on shit they don't need or want.
>Nintendo can't sell games and their new system is shit. Good luck getting 3rd party niggers back making bing bing wahoo games for you
Everyone either moved to PC or is stuck in Playstation nigger cattle land.

>Flop
LMAO.
They don't understand the Steam deck strategy or it's purpose.

Steam doesn't WANT to sell record breaking units, they are just trying to keep up with demand and want it to be successful enough to justify updates to the REAL product.... SteamOS.
>But why not just make an OS and not take a loss on the hardware
For the same reason that McDonald's isn't actually in the fast food business, they're in the real-estate business.
If there is no one using steam os they have no financial incentive to update, make it good, or even know wtf they need to fix. They can release the OS but who the fuck would switch over when windows is doing everything fine.
>But how does this make steam money?
It's a defense move, not a money making move.
Windows 8 was a disaster for Steam and made them realize that windows could in the future block them off from the walled garden or start screwing with them. Steam OS (and by extension the deck) future proofs that.

So what has been the result of Steam OS and the miracle or Proton layer? Just record growth of Linux and Microsoft legit scared of people jumping ship from 11 since 11 really is that bad and trying to force people out of 10 by ending support isn't going as smoothly as they hoped.

>But da switch 2 sold so many units
Yeah, I am sure that momentum will continue and so many people are loving their single switch game and overpriced ecosystem of recycled roms that play like shit on Nintendos crap emulator

Im waiting to see the specs and how well the new software runs. I have a feeling that Xbox will end up screwing the pooch a year in and implementing features no one wants like ads and spying.... but I might be wrong and they get it right.
>I have a steam deck, and honestly like it a lot
>I have a Lenovo Legion Go and see it as a perfectly fine windows version of the steam deck.
I ain't exactly rushing to get an Xbox branded legion go without a desktop mode, touch pad for mouse or detachable controllers.
But maybe they will impress me.
As it stands now I haven't trusted Xbone since the one disaster, and see them finally losing market share to Linux and proton compatability as a long overdue reality check... especially when they started implementing hardware requirements for Windows 11 and filled it with retarded bloat
