I know it's a huge stretch, but the implications of taking the thought of the role swapping theory to an extreme is too juicy.

Crazy Further Extrapolation

Like, imagine if that was the original idea of the prophecy. It would have been two sisters, guided back together by the Angel to reunite and go on a grand adventure, with their former human friend facing them for some reason. But the story was found out by Carol/Kris/Dess and they didn't like the implications of what would happen to Noelle by the end, so they made moves to change all the roles.

Then, in Weird Route, we use their own methods to go one step beyond:
