as susie develops as a character she takes more of those little moments to chew on things. I feel like the susie and noelle scenes are weak personally but at least that much is in line with her no longer putting her all into putting up that mean front and actually taking in the world around her more. I'm going through chapter 4 again but I know for a fact you can see her make that face a couple times in chapter 3 where shes not mad but shes having a moment where shes thinking "what" or "why". she probably didn't expect to hear noelle say some of what she said and to be fair noelle was a little all over the place during that conversation, so susie was taking the time to "what did she mean by this... ok I guess that makes sense"

The last thing I want to add to that is I dont think susie is an overthinker, It seems like she thinks about something just long enough to get an answer she feels ok with and then jumps on it like how she reacted to ralsei during his sad moments in chapter 4, or cut ralseis speech off at the end of chapter 3
