Don't be so sure. New Horizons is still a top seller, yet for some reason Nintendo hasn't given it a free Switch 2 upgrade to run better on the system yet. On top of that, they recently posted about it out of nowhere on social media:

There's a good chance they'll just make a Switch 2 edition of NH with like the bare minimum of features added to celebrate Animal Crossing's 25th anniversary next year, and we'll be stuck with it for another console generation like we were with Mario Kart 8.
