Basically no matter who is in control of Kingdom Hearts the result is same, failure. Kingdom Hearts has only gotten by on the nostalgia and goodwill of Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 for many years until the release of KH3. Now that said novelty has been satisfied Kingdom Hearts is a brand of diminishing returns and lots of old fans agree that the series is quite badly constructed and shoddy.

Expect Kingdom Hearts 4 to sell like trash especially because the story is still awful and they ran out of Disney Films worth a damn.

Disney doesn't make media that lends itself well to being video games and no one really wanted to make games out of Disney's frankly worsening movies especially with increasing development costs.

And there's restrictions because Disney has rules over what you can and can't do with their license because we all know Disney is tedious like that. Too many roadblocks to make the idea of Disney Games worthwhile. I'm surprised Kingdom Hearts still exists as a long running series.

Real sad how Kingdom Hearts fell apart. The first mistake was making a continuous story......across different handhelds which confused console players. The gameplay never stayed consistent thanks to handheld limitations. And god the story became so fucking awful with each new game introducing new retcons to seriously bad ideas.

They also ran out of good Disney films since Disney makes shit now. Did you see how Elio flopped? And even if a movie makes money for Disney like Lilo and Stitch Remake or Moana 2 and Inside Out 2 those are still shit. Don't want them in Kingdom Hearts.

Kingdom Hearts truly became AWFUL. Right now Sonic Fans are laughing at Kingdom Hearts. Sonic can be bad but not as horrible as Kingdom Hearts. At least Sonic can omit the bad games, Nomura on the other hand includes every single divisive idea for the series and MAINTAINS it so the flaws never get corrected. This has led to a fallout of burned out fans.

Ran out of Good Disney Media
Historically kept the gameplay inconsistent where only a few of the games have tight gameplay, for god's sake not even Ninja Gaiden has inconsistent gameplay
Story is objectively AWFUL doing all the famous bad cliches of fiction like time travel (look if Chrono Trigger did Time Travel decently than Kingdom Hearts used it horribly)

So whenever Kingdom Hearts 4 is released its going to fail because all of the above have shaved off the fans. And here's the kicker Disney's brand power has gone WAY down. Lots of people hate Disney these days especially after they destroyed Star Wars. And finally newcomers have a difficult time getting into Kingdom Hearts in general especially if they think the series to be cringe so I don't see Kingdom Hearts 4 selling great.

And you got to remember Kingdom Hearts has always been the WORST of Square Enix's pillar series. So naturally Kingdom Hearts 4 has a difficult uphill battle to even sell decent.

Its the saddest thing but even Big Hero Six is a failure. How so? The Big Hero Six series Disney made had horrible viewership. Goes to show that Big Hero Six was not a success in actuality. Look at Donkey Kong Country Trilogy and compare that to Donkey Kong Country Returns or Tropical Freeze its like night and day. Look at how bright Mario Kart World is compared to the previous Mario Kart games. I hate how bright things are. And don't get me started on Legend of Zelda Windwaker HD or games like Kingdom Hearts 3 the brightness is an eyesore.
