if something at wdw gets removed it's either because it's so garbage that it makes the park worse just by existing (chester and hester) or it's because they wanna save money. reusing stuff you're already using is cheaper, but even bigger is that every new thing they add takes people to run (maintenance, attraction attendants) and therefore money to operate, so even if building it was completely free it'd still increase the costs of running the park. it's why rivers of america is being removed, that shit costs a lot of money to maintain and all it does is make the park look nicer, so if you drain it and fill it with cement that actually lowers operating costs and makes numbers on a spreadsheet change by a tiny percentage.
