Its same as 3 in spirit I've played and beat NV once but moved on. 76 is ironically the best direction for fallout, it was completed with NV story. Minmaxing, screwing around with weapons/armors in a sandbox is more fun then roleplaying in bloated 3D rpgs when 2d rpgs were always better for pure gameplay and snappy turn based combat.
