Shit man, even the few streamers I DO follow (and play Nintendo games) were already on a second playthrough doing challenge runs the day after release.
If I cared enough to save those "fell for it again award" meme pictures (a generic one, not one labeled for a specific console), I'd post one now; people really gotta grow a brain and stop buying consoles on launch, they just get so desperate for content to consume that they're willing to buy literally anything on impulse just to build a library.
For me it was the Wii, though funnily enough I ended up playing Wii Sports the most the first year. God I loved bowling and boxing.

the only reasons i can think of not switching to linux are:

Why do you want or need someone with same interests? You can have opposing interests, as long as the relationship side is mutual. Sex can be enjoyed without liking bing bing wahoos, raising children doesn't require both of you playing video games, taking care of the house has nothing to do with your interests. You can like a person even if they don't particularly care for your hobbies.
And it doesn't have to be video games alone, you can have other interests that the both of you care about, like sports, martial arts, cooking etc.

And the longer the two of you are together, a bit of interest in one another's hobbies can leak, maybe they start playing something fun and casual, and you take interest in whatever they're doing to the same extent.
