Something tells me that Kris can actually play the piano just fine with or without the Soul, he just doesn't like having an audience (including YOU), and only does so that one time because he's a simp for Susie. He's mad at us trying to make him play, and making him look incapable of doing so when he actively slams his fingers on the keys to stop us. Which he does when we play the aforementioned sequence for Susie correctly. He can always play just fine, he simply doesn't want to unless it's for himself, for whatever reason.
