Absolutely nothing implies that, all we see of Renoir in Verso's ending is him and the wife he spent nearly 7 decades fighting with engaged in a loving embrace. Given how much this game blatantly leaves up to our interpretation, that you can take one of the very few obvious details and still invent some fictional deeper meaning to try and subvert it is distressing.
