It could be argued that she was referring to the crew as a whole being allocated some fruits back at their central base of operations. Don't get me wrong, super destroyers are still nonsensical in a myriad of ways. But people commonly forget that we're not supposed to be standard infantry or super soldiers that are supposed to win the war via conventional fighting. We're supposed to be paratrooper equivalents that get in, blow something up important, and get out before the weight of the enemy's main forces can encircle and crush us. The super destroyer is less like a ship of the line and more like a "What-if we deployed paratroopers out of an AC-130?".

Offscreen it is assumed that the SEAF are fighting more conventional warfare on a larger scale, and the super earth navy winning control of airspace with more proper warships.

The real problem is explosive management on bug maps. There are eleventy billion bug holes to close, most POIs don't have grenade boxes, and the team nigger hogged the supply drop in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. As a consequence I feel like I'm forced to bring one of:
>AC support weapon (can't any fun backpacks if I do this)
>Eruptor/xbow primary
>grenade pistol secondary

It's aggressively mid at best. In practice 99% of the time it's like the MG sentry except it doesn't have a short cooldown. Most combat situations fall into one of two categories:
>1: Enemy density is so light that an ordinary MG sentry wouldn't have run out of ammo.
>2: Enemy density is so heavy that the thing overheats and dies around the same time, or slightly before, an MG sentry would have run out of ammo.
It's kind of obnoxious to use the thing in a way where its "infinite ammo" every actually fucking matters because its heat capacity is so small and its cooldown rate is so pathetic.

I've had limited success with the thing on bug city maps. However in those situations I'm basically using it as a 2nd, and inferior, MG sentry. At least the laser sentry doesn't instantly cut teammates in half if it spins around suddenly like the gatling sentry does. That's the reason that I bring it over the gatling. However if I were permitted to bring the MG sentry twice, then I'd have no reason to bring the laser sentry.

Alexus will be sent back into the basement if kayla@AH needs to report to her supervisor that her inbox is full of a never ending pile of feedback reports about the pants on head state of the plasma cannon.

In terms of TOTAL ammo, I think ~15 rounds is justified for a backpackless weapon capable of killing heavies. If we vaguely abstract the killing power of the epoch to needing 2 rounds to kill a heavy where a RR needs 1, then the epoch slightly pulls ahead in that the RR can kill 6 heavies with its ammo supply while the epoch can kill 7 and a half. Someone can potentially even argue that the epoch currently has slightly too much ammo, but I think the current overall max capacity is acceptable considering the myriad of drawbacks that the weapon has and the fact that any preemptive reloads drastically cuts into total ammo supply.

If I were to change things, I would decrease the number of spare magazines that the epoch has but increase the capacity of the magazines. This would give the weapon greater ability to more efficiently sustain itself from POI ammo boxes. For example, 5 round magazine with 2 spare mags instead of the current 3 round magazine with 4 spare mages. Both are 15 rounds from a fully loaded state, but the larger mag option sustains itself better and is less likely to need to reload halfway through a kill.

I'm not looking at the map. I don't know which planet that is. Let me make a prediction:
>It's the MO related planet that is closest to Super Earth
am I correct?

Let me interrupt the shitposting for a minute. Do you think that there is any chance that the new plasma gun will be able to close bug holes? It would be a first for plasma weapons, but it will be our heaviest plasma weapon yet.

Bugdivers, is there a landmark that I should be looking for to discern where the bile titan hole is within a mega nest? Before I set foot inside the damn thing, is there a way to know which side of the nest contains the big hole?

Has anyone actually had success in getting Arrowhead to refund them the SC for it if they already bought Steeled Veterans? I could use it, want to try the Knight, and actually want the dumb Strategem Hero game to make the ship feel complete and have something to do while I wait for friends to buy upgrades and shit. May as well if I can get the 1k for it.

Can someone answer some questions? What's the point of the directional shield? Why use a forward facing shield that can be used with one handed weapons when the normal shield backpack provides a perfect bubble that can be used with any weapon? Why use the directional shield over the riot shield?
