Ignore that anon. He' a rundiver who just runs around while his teammates do all of the heavy lifting.
The main tip is DO NOT LOITER NEAR OUTPOSTS. Being in close proximity to outposts will increase the rate that patrols spawn. This completely fucks over the average nigger who puts closing the bug holes at the very bottom of his to-do list, and in turn he gets stuck in a patrol/reinforcement spiral. When you attack a nest, you want to do everything in your power to close all of the holes ASAP. Especially bile titan holes. It can help to drop a sentry along one edge of the nest to draw aggro and buy time for you to close the holes within the nest. This is true for every faction, but it's most notable for bugs because UFOs and fabricators have been nerfed into the ground and are such pushovers to casually delete compared to bug nests with 50 million holes.
In terms of good bug loadouts, you want want to check a few boxes.
>Something that is good at closing lots of bugholes in bulk.
For example, bring an explosive weapon like an eruptor/xbow/Autocannon/grenade launcher/grenade pistol, or bring a supply pack so that you can spam an abundance of grenades. Pyrotech grenades give you the most grenades.
>Have something in your loadout that can bottle up bug breaches
Orbital napalm is king, but it won't always be off cooldown. Lesser strikes like gas/gatling/airburst are also useful. NEATs or a supply pack full of incindiary grenades are nice. Tesla towers if you destroy the heavies for them. Mines are ok but I hate them. Sentries nearby but not within ~30m of the team can help.
>be prepared to kill heavies
EAT/RR/Quasar/commando are good. AC works but is less efficient. Careful usage of 500kg can work.
>something that can safely be used in near melee range vs bugs
talon, assorted shotguns/assault rifles, gun and gas dog backpacks, the zapdog if you don't care about teamkilling teammates, etc.
