It could have been good. But the production team got it all wrong - the characterization, the writing, the tone, everything. They make her dunk on the original Hulk (Bruce) just to elevate her character at his expense. And then... they proceed to let Matt Murdock dunk on HER to elevate HIS character for the then-upcoming Daredevil show. How do you fuck up that badly? They made She Hulk a terrible, careless lawyer who didn't even bother to go over the details of the case with her client, which Murdock exploited. And if that wasn't bad enough Feige and Co. ruined the Daredevil show because they tried to reboot it completely, panicked when it tested poorly, brought back some of the Netflix cast, and ended up with a Frankenstein incoherent mishmash, a tonal whiplash that degraded all of the Daredevil characters and had no story. So this really isn't about MUH GIRLBOSS or MUH TWERKING SCENE. It's Disney and production-by-committee failing to understand what makes these characters tick, what made them gain followings in the first place

Here's my anecdote on gatekeeping and why it works

I'm filling out a "treatment" for my novel as part of a submissions process and they say I need to compare it to three to five successful titles in my genre published within the last five years. I don't fucking read contemporary fiction, not usually, so I wouldn't know anything about the last five years of published stuff in my genre. Is there a website I can go to that has quick and dirty summaries of recently published books?

Yes, it's possible to resist the ring's influence if you're unambitious, but the desirous are going to be corrupted eventually. Even the very mildly ambitious like Frodo get corrupted, just at a slower rate. The only one who could've walked it to Mount Doom without issue is Samwise Gamgee because he literally has no desires. He's perfectly content, and the ring tried to corrupt him to no avail.

That's what makes the question interesting. There are very few video game/anime/comic book/etc characters who have both the power to walk to Middle Earth and the lack of desires necessary to successfully destroy it. Power won't save you and a pure heart won't save you.
