Why did Windows phone fail?

People using bots to get fake likes, views and followers is something we all know. But how do you explain the fact that certain twitter posts of mine suddenly get lots of views and likes (especially from bots) while I haven't used bots? Ever since I got this VR headset, I've been shocked at how awful the image quality is for Steam.
Unless your computer is directly plugged into the wifi modem, the image is blocky as hell, because the way it works is by actually STREAMING the visuals/data between your two devices.
And that's crazy, right? I can't believe there isn't a better solution for transmitting data over such a short distance. Some little dongle you could plug into your USB or HDMI port, if the computer can't do it already.
Isn't there anything like that out there? Some kind of wireless signal that can transmit HD data across a living room? It's not like I could build my own VR set, but I can't believe this isn't just Facebook being cheap and trying to force you to use their store.

Why do they get paid so much?

Actnano is a company that supposedly specializes in making water resistant coatings, which are allegedly already used in consumer shit like phones, laptops, automotive stuff like volvo. The main draw being that the coatings are non toxic, human safe and extremely cheap to manufacture (allegedly it costs one dollar per pcb for manufacturers).
Why are their products not more popular? It seems they could, according to their own words at least, vastly improve electronics resistance to liquid damage, even more niche products like toughbooks and latitude ruggeds and make them much lighter and smaller in size. Is it a scam? Is it an overpromise? An exageration? Are there some unmentioned problems? There's barely any discusion of it here, not a single mention I've ever found on desuarchive.
