Honestly, even the quest battles are optional, most people don't even like em'.
A team of 5 modders with a clue and the right tools can bang that out in a week.

Max Payne 3 was a fitting conclusion to the series despite the writing differences between the first 2 and it makes sense for Max to be a complete alcoholic wreck. Brazil was a great fish out of water contrast setting for Max Payne and it wouldn't been boring if they kept it in New York.
