So somewhat random question: On my Steam list I have several people who I played FFXIV with. Of them, at least seven are female. Of the seven, three have Nekopara avatars. One Vanilla, two Azuki.
Is there something that makes the franchise popular with women? Two of them are Married.... With Children. The third is her last year of college so these are all grounded women.

well, during master studies i had to choose 4 lectures i had to visit, in 2 of them i had to pass an examn. i have visited ALL lectures which were availlable (12) and i passed 4 examns, 2 of which were invalid because of beurocracy. for the last examn i had to learn one lecture autodidactively with only the lectures paperwork. i also had to pick one of 3 secondary topics in the main field, visited 2 of them, but i didnt pass the fucking nano chem examn 3 times (thats failed, but i passed the other, which was biochem), if i wouldnt have failed that one i'd proclaim that i have a double diploma in OC.
i didnt study that stuff for ze shekels, i was actually interdasted in my studies.
