The fact that all OTs come with their own hitboxes that need to connect to the right part of the enemy's hurtbox to begin the obliteration already puts it lightyears ahead of torture attacks. Whiffing is a possibility and so is hitting the wrong target/hurtbox. Furthermore, the actual OTs have their own hitboxes with their own properties that can hit nearby enemies in the process. It's as integrated into the game as it gets.
None of this applies to Torture Attacks, everything just freezes in one place, including the fucking score meter.
> where you got the DO was a late addition

>Dodge Offset was also created through playing
>We could finish the non-stop style in that way. The result of 'trial and error'. In reality, this was done at the late production phase. This system didn't exist at the beginning.
The way DO was implemented in Bayo is just gross. Metaphor ReFantazio somehow did it better despite being primarily a turn-based game. Even Doom Dark Ages has a much better take on offsetting and it's a shooter.
