You as the Soul are literally closing entire dark fountains and stopping everything that Kris is doing, who is allied with likely Carol and Asgore, while your Mom is dogshit, your best friend is out of the loop and Kris himself doesn't tell her shit, your other companion lied to you endlessly since chapter 1 trying to gather Kris's support, you don't have your Vessel, you're stuck with Kris and he's a little whiny bitch baby while we're out here sealing fountains, saving the world and guiding everyone including helping Susie to even be able to get the Hammer of Justice, empowering Rude Busters for the Titan and more.

I have never disliked the "main protagonist" more. Snowgrave all the way you sick little shit, you didn't and couldn't stop me, so you're doing shit my way while I save the fucking world.

Chapter 5's theme will be everything NOT working out.

my personal headcanon is that noelle was supposed to be the hero and susie was supposed to be the one who has to die, but susie fucked up the prophecy by going to get chalk with us and becoming the hero
the weird route is trying to force the prophecy back on track (since susie is obviously dedicated to breaking it, and ralsei probably is too) by making noelle strong enough to be the hero while also mindbreaking her into being okay with killing susie. carol and dess are supporting this plan because noelle is family

Basically somebody is opening "dark worlds" by driving a blade into the earth and letting "Darkness" free. If too much darkness comes out, apocalypse. There's WAYYYY more to the situation, but it's mostly a mystery on purpose.
