I'm a Dess believer, but this is bad counter evidence. None of these people could have dragged Undyne to the shelter unless they could maintain their Knight form outside dark worlds, which is implied to be the case by the black shard staying a black shard in the light world. I've seen theories that the reason why the knight is so powerful is that they are a monster with a human soul, like what asriel became after absorbing chara's soul in undertale. This would mean they should be powerful both in the dark world and in the light world.

Yeah. People always mess this up. The problem isn't when she'd open the fountain, she had plenty of time for that, the problem is her getting back there before Kris and Susie.

To be honest though, even that is pretty dubious evidence since you could easily argue that Kris and Susie going straight to church isn't the canonical way that things played out. Susie says to go to Toriel's house after leaving the Holiday house. If you examine the front door of the Holiday House before leaving, the flavor text says that Carol is watching through the window, so she isn't taking her time yelling at Noelle or something either.

Clearly something happened before the game started and Kris got (you).
So it makes sense that the lightener that is powerful on a scale we haven't seen from anyone else would have something like a human soul boosting them.

The theory is pretty compelling, but Dess has been missing for maybe around 10 years given the spelling bee scene. So either Kris would have had to have been soulless for about a decade or this soul has been with Kris a longer time than we realize. That would explain why Kris already has the cage, but it's a pretty big blow to the theory that the player in real life is diagetic to the story, even though that theory is so universally accepted that people forget it isn't actually canon.

Personally I took it as a 1-2 years ago incident.
Like something recent enough where the scars of it are still fresh and everyone is still active and engaged with the topic.
Otherwise events like everything surrounding Asgore, Kris and Noelle having a established enought relationship to have the drifting apart mean something, and Dess & Asriel including Kris and Noelle in their hangouts while Asriel is currently being at college, would feel way to drawn out
Because of this I have Kris and the others closer to 14-15 than 18, long enough for puberty to kick in but a short enough period of time to where them having kid sprites makes sense.

This is not to say a knock against you or anything just where I'm at in speculating.
But yeah the implications surrounding Kris handing over their Soul, means either they were dealing with this issue beforehand or that Kris has been wandering around Soulless for over a year before the game starts and only got a new one in order to engage with the Dark Worlds

Then everything kinda froze/tensed up, even though my eyes were closed, I could tell there was some kind of shift. I saw a still image of a low pixel staticy TV screen. Then there was a picture that was kind of like Sans' head, and a dialog box said "SANS , A"
and I think I heard something scary?
But, have you ever experienced "dream emotions" where you feel an intense feeling even though what is being presented to you isn't really like that or whatever? Well, that happened. I felt fucking terrified, to the point I literally woke up whimpering. I was like "aah, aah, aah, aah!"
And I felt something like pressure or pain or tension on my thighs for a little while.
Now im awake, I just typed this up, and like I said, I can't remember what I was dreaming or thinking about before the "nightmare".

The issue is that Carol arrives at the house at the same time in both normal and weird routes. And in weird Kris never learns that Susie has the guitar until they leave the house. Meaning that it couldn't have been Carol on the phone with Kris, since the caller was rushing over to stop Susie.

I still think it was Catti. We thought we were only hearing snippets of the person on the other end, but if it's Catti then they just talk like that. It can't be Dess since there's no way she could make an appearance in broad daylight to stop Susie, it can't be Carol since she was coming home at that point regardless, so it had to be a third party who was welcome in Noelle's house and could show up uninvited - and Catti is close enough to Noelle to do that.
